A Warm Welcome from Your Patient Care Head
Dear Visitors,
Welcome to Altor Hospitals in KR Puram, Bengaluru! We understand that the presence of family and friends plays a crucial role in a patient’s emotional well-being and recovery. We are delighted you’re here to offer support to your loved one.
To ensure a safe, peaceful, and hygienic healing environment for all our patients, we have established some essential visitor guidelines. These rules are thoughtfully designed to promote patient rest, prevent infections, and allow our medical teams to provide uninterrupted care. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is deeply appreciated and vital for the well-being of every patient at Altor Hospitals.
Thank you for being a part of their healing journey.

Why Our Guidelines Matter: Creating a Healing Environment
Our visitor policies are in place for several important reasons:

Patient Rest & Recovery
Adequate rest is crucial for healing. Limiting visitor numbers and adhering to visiting hours helps patients get the quiet time they need

Infection Control
Hospitals are places where germs can spread easily. Strict hygiene practices and visitor limits help protect vulnerable patients from infections.

Uninterrupted Medical Care
Our doctors and nurses require uninterrupted time to provide critical care, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures.

Safety & Security
Our doctors and nurses require uninterrupted time to provide critical care, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures.
Our Visitor Guidelines: How You Can Help
Your cooperation with these guidelines directly contributes to a safer and more comfortable environment for all patients.
- To prevent overcrowding and ensure patient comfort, we kindly request that only one or two visitors are present at the bedside at any given time.
- Please coordinate with other family members to ensure everyone gets a chance to visit while respecting this limit.

- For their own safety and the safety of our patients (due to potential exposure to infections), young children (below 12 years of age) are generally discouraged from visiting patient areas.
- If a visit by a child is absolutely necessary, please consult the nursing staff beforehand.

- Keep Noise Levels Low: Please speak softly and keep conversations low. Loud conversations, ringing mobile phones, or excessive noise can disturb resting patients.
- Mobile Phones: Please keep your mobile phones on silent or vibrate mode in patient areas. Avoid prolonged phone calls inside patient rooms.

- Hand Hygiene is Key: Please use the hand sanitizers provided at the entrance of the hospital and outside patient rooms before and after your visit. This is the simplest and most effective way to prevent infection spread.
- Do Not Visit if Unwell: If you are feeling unwell, have a fever, cough, cold, flu-like symptoms, or any contagious illness, please do not visit the hospital. Your absence will protect vulnerable patients.
- Avoid Touching Medical Equipment: For your safety and to prevent contamination, please do not touch patient medical equipment, IV lines, or dressings.

- No Outside Food for Patients: For the safety and recovery of our patients, bringing outside food or beverages for patients is strictly prohibited. Our dietitians prepare special meals according to their medical needs.
- Use Dustbins: Please use designated dustbins for disposing of any waste. Help us keep our hospital clean and hygienic.

- No Smoking/Alcohol: Altor Hospitals is a strict non-smoking and alcohol-free zone. This policy is enforced throughout the hospital premises.
- Valuables: We strongly advise visitors not to bring large amounts of cash, expensive jewelry, or unnecessary valuables into the hospital. The hospital is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.

- Our staff are dedicated to patient care. Please treat all hospital staff and other patients with courtesy and respect.
- Follow instructions from our nursing and security staff; they are there to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

Special Unit Visiting Information
- Intensive Care Units (ICU/Critical Care): Due to the critical nature of care in these units, visiting hours and rules are often more restrictive. Please inquire with the ICU staff directly for their specific guidelines.
- Attendant Passes: For patients requiring continuous family support (e.g., in critical care or long-term stays), a designated attendant pass may be issued for one or two primary attendants. Please wear your pass visibly at all times.
